Do People Wish Marijuana Legalization?

In an ultimate Zogby poll, 52 percent of voters said they maintained marijuana legalization. As far as I 'concern, this is the first time a national investigation has revealed majority support for abrogating cannabis interdiction , as opposed to merely decriminalizing storage for personal use. A couple of admonition:

1. Following to a press release from the Marijuana Policy Project, the investigation, accredited by The O'Leary Report, used "a sample of 3,937 voters measured to match the 2008 presidential sequence -54 percent Obama voters and 46 percent McCain supporters." This prototype may be warped in a pro-reform direction if, as seems verisimilar, left-leaning Americans were particularly stimulated to vote in the last presidential election, while conservatives were despondent. I'm not sure what the outlet polls demonstrated on that score.

2. The wording of the problem appeared slanted:

Scarce law compulsion and prison endurances, a desire to neutralize drug cartels and the need for new sources of yearly income have regenerated the topic of legalizing marijuana. Proponents point it makes sense to tax and control the drug while opponents say that legitimating would lead marijuana possess to use other illegal drugs. Would you render attention or oppose the administration?s effort to legalize marijuana?

Informant was presented with three confirmations in favor of legitimating and only one against, and it was pretty anemic. That sounds like an antiprohibitionist statement. Also, the phrase "the administration's effort to legalize marijuana" makes it sound as if this is somewhat that's already occurring , which makes the idea seem more hard-nosed and credible.

Still, this resounds like good news, and it's in line with building support for marijuana legalization in other investigations, as well as recent comments by sitting public officials who say they'e open to arguing the idea.
